After Sanju Samson, now even Gautam Gambhir will not go to Zimbabwe tour; Suddenly the entire support staff changed

After the historic title win in the T20 World Cup, a period of big changes has started in Indian cricket. Just before the upcoming T20 series against Zimbabwe, a very big and shocking news is coming out from the camp of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). After senior player Sanju Samson was ruled out of the initial matches, now newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir will also not fly with Team India on this Zimbabwe tour. After this sudden decision, India’s entire support staff for the Zimbabwe tour has been changed.

Why did the entire coaching staff of the Zimbabwe tour change?

According to ongoing discussions in the cricket circles and board sources, Gautam Gambhir has recently been appointed the head coach of the Indian team, but instead of the Zimbabwe tour, he will start his tenure with Team India from the upcoming limited overs series against Sri Lanka. In Gambhir’s absence, BCCI has appointed Bengaluru-based National Cricket Academy (NCA) head and former cricket legend VVS Laxman as the stand-in head coach of Team India for the Zimbabwe tour. Along with Laxman, NCA’s support staff will play the role of coach on this tour.

When will ‘Gautam’s team’ be seen on the field?

The biggest question in the minds of fans is that when will the ‘Gautam Gambhir era’ start in Indian cricket? According to the report, Gambhir will stay in Mumbai during the Zimbabwe tour and will prepare a complete roadmap for the future of Indian cricket and will finalize the selection of new support staff (supporting coaches). Immediately after the end of the Zimbabwe series, the Indian team has to tour Sri Lanka, where for the first time in the upcoming ODI and T20 series, Gautam Gambhir will be seen making strategies in the Indian dressing room as the head coach.

The responsibility of Zimbabwe’s victory will be on the shoulders of the youth brigade

This tour is very important for the young Indian team leaving for Zimbabwe under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. After the retirement of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja from T20 International cricket, there will be a lot of pressure on this new Team India to prove itself. However, players like Sanju Samson, Shivam Dubey and Yashasvi Jaiswal are not able to be a part of the first two matches due to being stranded in Barbados due to the cyclone, in their place the board has included Sai Sudarshan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana in the team as backup.
