The final of IPL 2026 was held on May 31 at Narendra Modi Stadium and on the same day ICC held a board meeting in Ahmedabad. After the meeting was over, ICC issued a statement saying that Cricket Canada has been banned. However, this is not going to affect the players at the moment. He is going to be seen playing in ICC tournaments in future also. This decision of the International Cricket Council has been taken regarding the members of the Cricket Board. The players did not face any money problems. ICC has made a plan for this also. At present, ICC has put some conditions before the Canada Cricket Board. This ban will be removed from the board only after accepting it.

Many issues were discussed in the meeting

The International Cricket Council has made it clear that Cricket Canada will have to overcome its administrative shortcomings. ICC has also formed a committee to monitor this. Apart from this, in this meeting there was discussion about starting a world level qualifier tournament for the T20 World Cup.
