10-20% reservation for firefighters in railway recruitment
Under the agreement between Indian Railways and Indian Army, retired firefighters and ex-army service men will be given re-employment opportunities. Railways has made a provision of 10 to 20 percent reservation for them in its various recruitments.
This decision is being considered as a big relief for the soldiers who have completed their service under Agniveer Scheme. This will give them a better chance to get permanent employment in the government sector and Railways will also benefit from their experience.
Fitness condition for job in Zomato
Deepinder Goyal has announced the recruitment of engineers for his new startup, but a different condition has been imposed here. Candidates applying must take fitness seriously.
Body fat should not be less than 16 percent for male candidates and more than 26 percent for female candidates. This unique job policy has also sparked debate on social media, where some people are calling it a health focus while others are considering it as a strict condition of selection.
JPSC Civil Services Application date extended
Jharkhand Public Service Commission has extended the last date of application for Combined Civil Services (PCS) 2025 examination to March 9, 2026. This decision was taken on the demand of many candidates after the earlier deadline had expired.
The prelims exam will be conducted on 12th April 2026. Model answers are likely to be released on April 13, while candidates will be able to submit objections or suggestions between April 13 and 22.
