Fake IAS caught in Ahmedabad, defrauded lakhs by using fake letter from Home Ministry

Ahmedabad Fake IAS Arrested: A very strange case has come to light from Ahmedabad. Here the crime branch has caught a fake IAS officer. The name of the arrested accused is Mehul Shah who lives in Paldi area of ​​Ahmedabad and does travel business. It is being told that he used to commit fraud of lakhs of rupees by using fake letter of Gandhinagar Home Ministry by identifying himself as the Director of Revenue Department of Gujarat Government.

According to the FIR lodged by complainant Rajendra Shah, Mehul Shah had issued a fake letter from the Ahmedabad District Education Officer to get his son a job in a government school. Apart from this, he did not pay Rs 7 lakh to a person by giving him a contract for painting in Asarwa University. After this, a complaint was lodged against the accused in the local police station.

This is how fake IAS officer was caught

During the investigation, the police came to know that Mehul Shah used to roam around in an Innova car, which was fitted with a siren, posing as a fake IAS officer. For this siren he used fake letters from Home Ministry and other government departments. He used to call himself the Director of Revenue Department and IAS officer.

Police have recovered two mobile phones, a laptop, ₹1,00,000 cash, fake Aadhaar card, fake government identity card and several fake government letters from Mehul Shah. These documents include fake letters made in the name of Revenue Department, Education Department, Health Department and Chief Minister Housing Scheme.

According to the accused Mehul Shah Ahmedabad Crime Branch, the accused had declared himself the Chairman of the Department of Science and Research Development. A letterpad was made stating that he was the chairman of this department. Which has been confiscated.

Crime Branch said that Mehul Shah took two cars and buses on rent and did not pay the money for them. At present, the police is investigating how many people he duped and whether anyone else is involved in this matter. Earlier in Gujarat, along with fake PMO officer, fake police officers have also been caught.
