Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan Launched Artificial Intelligence based digital platform Bharat-VISTAAR during an event in Jaipur on Tuesday. This AI platform is going to provide many types of facilities to the farmers of the country.
He said, “If a farmer comes to his farm and feels that there is a disease in his crop, he can call and ask if this is the problem, he will get information about the disease and which medicine to apply. If he wants to know the market price, he will be informed. Weather information, information about schemes, all this information will be given through Bharat-VISTAAR, which is our AI platform. The special thing is that this information will be given to the farmers in all languages.”
What is Digital Agriculture Mission and why is it important for farmers?
Digital Agriculture Mission is an initiative of the government under which digital records of every farmer are being prepared. In this, information about land, crops, insurance and government schemes is being added on one platform. Its objective is to give right advice to farmers at the right time. The aim is to reduce the losses of farmers, increase crop production, and transfer benefits directly to the bank accounts.
