Robert Ravi has said that state-owned telecom company BSNL is all set to take on India’s leading and private telecom companies Airtel, Vii and Jio. In November last year, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited i.e. BSNL launched its indigenous 4G service simultaneously across India. A big update has come out regarding BSNL 5G service

The company’s Chairman and Managing Director Robert Ravi made a big announcement about BSNL 5G service at the India AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Robert Ravi has said that BSNL is going to soft launch its 5G service in Delhi in the next 6 months. According to the announcement made by the company’s Chairman and Managing Director Robert Ravi, BSNL users in Delhi and NCR will get the chance to use 5G service by the end of this year. However, the launch of BSNL 5G service will depend on upgrading the existing 4G infrastructure.

The Chairman and Managing Director of the company, Robert Ravi, has clearly stated that the aim of the company is to make itself stronger in the competition with the private telecom companies. The government, through the Bharat Net project, is developing edge AI in rural areas, which will provide high-speed internet and improved connectivity in rural as well as urban areas.

According to the recently submitted TRAI report, BSNL has once again managed to add lakhs of users. The government-run telecom company’s network upgrades and cheap recharge plans are attracting millions of users to the company. The number of users of Vodafone-Idea is continuously decreasing and users of this company are porting their numbers to different telecom operators. The number of BSNL users is currently around 10 crores. After the launch of 5G service, the number of users is likely to increase further.
