AI Impact Summit 2026 70 countries signed the declaration

Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that all the major countries playing an important role in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have signed the joint declaration of India AI Impact Summit 2026.

New Delhi: The AI ​​Impact Summit 2026 held in India has given a new direction to collaboration and innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) globally. At the summit, the US presented its strategy to export AI technology and strengthen global partnerships. The US delegation was led by Michael Kratsios, Director of the White House Department of Science and Technology Policy. Jacob Helberg, William Kimmitt and Sergio Gore were also present with him.

Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that all the major countries playing an important role in the AI ​​field have signed the joint declaration. He said that more than 70 countries have already accepted it and this number is expected to cross 80. “The world considers India a reliable partner for semiconductor and AI technology,” Vaishnav said.

India global leader in AI and semiconductor sector

Vaishnav said the semiconductor sector in India is rapidly growing and AI innovation will further empower it. He said that due to innovations taking place in the industry, it is possible to reduce the cost of electricity and chip manufacturing by 50 percent. This initiative will make India globally competitive in AI and technology production.

The Indian Army and Navy displayed several AI-powered equipment at the AI ​​Impact Summit. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Army pavilion on Friday and appreciated the technologies displayed in the exhibition. The exhibition included climate science, disaster forecasting, driver fatigue detection tools and other AI based applications.

Agentic AI and global collaboration

The roundtable panel featured tech industry, policy and legal experts discussing how agentic AI is redefining security, accountability, cybersecurity and public trust. USPTO Director Austin Mayron highlighted the role of standards-based collaboration in responsible innovation. The White House’s Kratsios said that instead of complete technological self-reliance, countries should partner with the US to keep sensitive data secure. He supported a national sovereignty-based model while criticizing centralized international regulatory frameworks.

The US plans to connect AI companies from partner countries to the US AI stack under the National Champions Initiative. In addition, agencies such as the US International Development Finance Corporation and the Export-Import Bank will also cooperate.

AI in health, education, energy and agriculture

Kratsios said it is important to accelerate AI adoption in healthcare, education, energy, agriculture and government services. Sundar Pichai, CEO Google and Alphabet Inc. said that India-US partnership will make it possible to bring AI benefits to everyone. He praised India’s digital policies and initiatives like Aadhaar, UPI, DigiLocker globally.

Pichai said that AI will create new employment opportunities. It is essential to equip the youth with future skills. The Government of India and the private sector are together focusing on skill development. Vivek Raghavan, co-founder of Sarvam AI, said that it is necessary to develop indigenous AI, so that India does not become a digital colony.
