AI Impact Summit 2026: Top leaders of 20 countries will meet in India…

Heads of state and government of 20 countries of the world will participate in the AI ​​Impact Summit to be held in India from 16 to 20 February. Prominent leaders at the summit include Emmanuel Macron, Pedro Sanchez, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Antonio Guterres.

New Delhi: India is going to host a historic global event in February 2026. Heads of state and government of 20 countries of the world will participate in the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’ to be held from 16 to 20 February, while ministerial delegations from 45 countries will also participate in it. The conference will focus on responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI), global governance frameworks, innovation ecosystems and digital public infrastructure.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, many prominent world leaders are coming to India on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This event is being considered an important step towards establishing India as a center of global AI policy making and technical cooperation.

Which global leaders will participate?

French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will be prominent participants in the conference.

Apart from this, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Croatia’s Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Estonia’s President Alar Karis, Finland’s Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić, Switzerland’s President Guy Parmelin, Netherlands’ Prime Minister Dick Schoof and UAE’s Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will also participate in the conference.

Conference Objective: Responsible and Inclusive AI

The main objective of the AI ​​Impact Summit is to promote Responsible AI Governance. There will be in-depth discussions on Digital Public Infrastructure, Climate-conscious Technology and Equitable Access to Emerging Technologies.

According to experts, the rapid growth of AI globally has created opportunities as well as challenges—such as data privacy, algorithmic transparency, cybersecurity, and changes in the job market. In such a situation, the need for international cooperation has increased more than ever.

Focus on industry, employment and startup

The conference will also discuss how AI is impacting various industries—such as healthcare, agriculture, finance, manufacturing, and education. Demand for new-age skills in the changing job market, upskilling and reskilling strategies will also be considered.
