AI may be fast, but it cannot match the human brain: N.R. Narayana Murthy

New Delhi. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can increase the speed of work, but cannot match the human brain. This was said by Infosys founder N.R. Narayana Murthy (NR Narayana Murthy) said during the ‘Leaders Talk’ program organized at Delhi University. He advised the youth to adopt the mindset of “Think with AI” and “Build with AI” and see AI not as a competitor but as a collaborator.

Quoting renowned scientist, mathematician and computer programmer Stephen Wolfram, Murthy said that AI can work as a collaborative tool. It can perform high-level tasks such as remote surgery, product manufacturing with precise measurements, code generation and software development. However, it requires constant training. This is why the human brain will always be in the leadership role and will continue to improve technology through new experiments. He clarified that there will be no stop to human creativity with the advent of AI.

  • Not a big businessman, the aim was to earn respect
Narayana Murthy said that in business, profit and earning are secondary, whereas real success comes from mutual respect and trust. His goal has never been to become the biggest entrepreneur, but to earn respect in the society.

His main lessons for the youth
    Keep learning new skills continuously.

    Adapt yourself to changing technology.

Consider learnability as the most important quality.
