AI Summit Shirtless Protest Case: Congress gets big relief, Youth President Uday Bhanu Chib gets bail

A major update has come out in the AI Summit Shirtless Protest case and Congress seems to be getting a big relief. Youth President Uday Bhanu Chib has got bail in this case. Let us tell you that in the Indian Youth Congress demonstration case during the AI Summit, Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib was granted bail by the Duty Magistrate of Patiala House Court. Patiala House Court has granted him bail on a personal bond of Rs 50 thousand.

Delhi Police Crime Branch had filed an application in the court late last night demanding extension of police custody remand of Uday Bhanu Chib by 7 days. Apart from this, separate applications were also given for the remand of two other accused in the case. After the bail application was filed by the defense side, the duty magistrate granted bail to Uday Bhanu Chib, giving relief. The court said in its order that the crime branch could not give sufficient reasons for the need to extend the remand. While granting bail, the court has ordered Chib to deposit his passport in the court and has also ordered to surrender electronic gadgets before the court.

There was uproar during AI summit in Delhi

There was a huge uproar during the protest in Bharat Mandapam during the AI Summit in Delhi, after which the police took strict action in this matter and arrested many people including Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib.

On one hand, BJP had strongly criticized the uproar during this protest and targeted Congress, while on the other hand, Congress had called the arrest of its youth leader Uday Bhanu Chib unconstitutional. Congress had posted on its Facebook page and written, “Delhi Police has arrested IYC National President Uday Bhanu Chib. This arrest is completely unconstitutional. The Constitution of the country has given the right to protest to every citizen. We are not afraid of these tactics. We will keep raising the voice of the people, keep fighting for them.”
