AI Summit Uproar: Why BJP’s nationwide protest against Youth Congress?
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demonstrated in many cities of the country in protest against the alleged ruckus created by Youth Congress at the India AI Impact Summit held in Delhi. BJP workers, supporters and Yuva Morcha members took to the streets at many places including Delhi, Surat, Mulund and Hyderabad. In Maharashtra’s Mulund, where Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was on his way to appear in a defamation case in Thane, BJP workers showed him black flags and raised anti-Congress slogans. The protesters also raised slogans like ‘Lashkar-e-Rahul’.
During the AI Summit organized in Delhi on Tuesday, some Youth Congress workers allegedly broke the security cordon and entered the hall of the venue and raised slogans against the government over the trade agreement with America. Police have arrested four people in this case, including Youth Congress National Secretary Krishna Hari, Bihar Youth Congress State Secretary Kundan Yadav, UP Youth Congress Vice President Ajay Kumar and National Coordinator Narasimha Yadav.

According to sources, the protesters had come with advance planning to disrupt the event and had somehow obtained QR codes to enter the high-security venue. Police used face recognition technology to identify him. A wider conspiracy is also being investigated in the case.

‘Congress is tarnishing the image of the country’
Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav has described this incident as ‘complete shamelessness of Congress’. He said that when India is emerging as a global technological power, Congress is trying to tarnish the image of the country.

A defamation case has been filed against Rahul Gandhi by RSS worker Rajesh Kunte. The complaint alleged that Rahul Gandhi had accused the Sangh of being involved in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, thereby damaging the image of the organisation. The case has been registered under section 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code.
