AIBE 19 exam, registration last date postponed; check revised dates here

New Delhi: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has revised the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 19 exam and registration date. As per the new dates, The AIBE 19 exam is now scheduled to be held on December 1. The AIBE registration date has been extended to October 28 and the fee payment to October 29. Candidates appearing for the exam can check the complete schedule on the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.

Earlier, the AIBE 19 exam was scheduled to be held on November 24. The registration last date was set for October 25.

The AIBE 19 application fee is for the general and Other Backward Caste (OBC) category candidates is Rs 3,560 and for the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates, the application fee is Rs 2,560.

Those who are in the final semester of a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree programme in a BCI-recognised institute can apply for the AIBE 19 exam. Candidates should not have any backlogs from last semester as per the eligibility requirement.

The AIBE exam is conducted offline. Those who have a law degree and are registered with a state bar council can appear for the exam. Those who pass the exam are awarded a Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is necessary to practice law in India.

AIBE exam pattern

The AIBE exam is held for a duration of three hours and 30 minutes. There will be only objective-type questions in the paper. As per the marking scheme, for every correct answer one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking for the incorrect attempt. The total mark of the AIBE 19 exam is 100.
