The airline cited delayed aircraft returns from maintenance and ongoing supply chain constraints as reasons for the cancellations, which impact travel plans from mid-November through December 2024. The cancellations affect multiple routes, including Delhi-Chicago, Delhi-San Francisco, Delhi-Washington, and Mumbai-New York.

Options for Affected Passengers

In its statement, Air India explained that “delayed return of some aircraft from heavy maintenance and supply chain constraints” necessitated a temporary reduction in its operating fleet.
