Air India Express plane crashes at Phuket airport, nose wheel broken during landing

Air India: An Air India Express flight going from Hyderabad to Phuket, Thailand met with an accident during landing. According to the information, while landing at Phuket Airport, the nose wheel of the plane broke, due to which the plane stopped due to friction on the runway. The airline confirmed the incident on Wednesday.

Plane stuck on runway, flight operations affected

After the incident, the plane got stuck on the runway, due to which flight operations at Phuket Airport had to be stopped for some time. This aircraft was Boeing 737-Max-8, although information regarding the number of passengers on board was not immediately revealed. Air India Express said in its statement that the Hyderabad-Phuket flight on March 11 faced a technical problem related to the nose-wheel during landing.

Emergency landing was made

According to flight tracking website Flightradar24, Flight IX 938 took off from Hyderabad at 6:42 am instead of the scheduled time of 6:20 am. Later, the plane made an emergency landing at Phuket International Airport at around 11:40 local time. The nose wheel is an important part of the aircraft’s landing gear system, which helps control the direction of the aircraft during landing and on the runway.
