Tata-led Air India is set to increase its international connectivity by launching daily, non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London's Heathrow Airport from October 27. The move will connect London Heathrow to all three Air India hubs in India. However, Air India already flies to London Heathrow Airport from Delhi and Mumbai 31 times a week.
Air India said in a statement issued on 'X' post on Tuesday that we are starting daily non-stop flights from Bengaluru to London Heathrow Airport. With this move of the airline, all three Indian hubs are now connected to London's Heathrow Airport. The company said that now your next trip to the UK has become even better. The airline's new flights will take over the existing Bengaluru-London Gatwick route, increasing the number of flights between Bengaluru and London from five to seven times a week. These non-stop services will be operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, with 18 flat-bed seats in business class and 238 spacious seats in economy class. This will increase the total number of seats on flights to and from London Heathrow by 3,584 per week.
It is noteworthy that currently Air India Airlines operates 31 flights per week to London Heathrow from its Delhi and Mumbai hubs. Apart from this, Air India will continue its 12 weekly flights to London Gatwick from four major cities of the country, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi.
