Air is very bad in many cities of UP, AQI at dangerous level in Loni and Noida
AQI In UP : The level of air pollution remains constant in the cities adjacent to Delhi in Uttar Pradesh. People have not yet got any respite from the poisonous air. The situation has become worse since last one month and people are forced to breathe poisonous air. In districts like Noida, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Hapur and Meerut, AQI continues to remain in the red zone.
The effect of polluted air is now clearly visible on people’s health. From children to the elderly, most of the people are suffering from eye irritation, cough and respiratory problems. The situation is such that cities are beginning to look like gas chambers. There is no sign of relief from pollution in the coming days.
Morning AQI crosses 381
Data of Central Pollution Control Board shows that even on Friday 5th December, Loni of Ghaziabad remained the most polluted area of the state. Here the AQI has come down to 400 but the air is still very bad. The air quality index in Loni this morning was recorded at 381, while in Vasundhara it was 303 and in Indirapuram the AQI was 290.
Pollution continues in Noida
The level of pollution in the air of Noida is also not decreasing. Today the AQI here was recorded between 280 to 380, which indicates the poor to very poor category of air. AQI 367 was recorded in Noida Sector-125, while AQI in Sector-116 was 346 and Noida Sector-62 AQI was 286. AQI was 337 in Knowledge Park-5 of Greater Noida.
Hapur’s AQI tops
The air condition in other cities of Uttar Pradesh also remains worrying. Highest pollution was recorded in Hapur today, where AQI was 350. Whereas 321 AQI was recorded in Baghpat, 287 in Pallavpuram of Meerut and 265 in Bulandshahr. The level of pollution has also increased in the capital Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur. Where the air quality index remains in the yellow zone.
