New Delhi: Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh will be the next Air Chief Marshal of the Indian Air Force. Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh is currently serving as the Vice Chief of the Air Force. He will take over as the next Air Force Chief from the afternoon of September 30, 2024. The current Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Choudhary will retire on September 30, 2024.

Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh was born on 27 October 1964. Before this big responsibility, Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh took over as the 47th Deputy Chief of the Indian Air Force on 1 February 2023. For the last few days, there was speculation that Amar Preet Singh's name could come forward for the new Air Force Chief. Which has proved to be correct.

Joined the Air Force in 1984

Air Marshal Amarpreet Singh has achieved many great achievements during his service. He was deployed in the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force from Air Force Academy Dundigal on 21 December 1984. Air Marshal Amarpreet Singh has been serving in the Air Force for 38 years.

Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh has received training from the National Defense Academy Khadakvasla and Air Force Academy Dundigal. He has also been a student of Defense Service Staff College Wellington. He has another achievement to his name. He has also received training from the National Defense College, New Delhi.

He flew Tejas at the age of 59
