Air train will run from one terminal to another at Delhi airport

New Delhi . Passengers will get the facility of air train to travel from one terminal to another at Delhi airport. This train will also go to Aerocity and Cargo. For this, a tender has been issued by DIAL. The target is to complete the work by 2027.

According to the information, Terminal-2 and Terminal-3 at Delhi Airport are at one place, while Terminal-1 is at some distance. Currently, passengers have to wait for DTC bus to travel between these terminals. On an average, more than 7 crore passengers travel through Delhi Airport every year. This figure is expected to reach more than 10 crore in the coming year.

In view of the ever-increasing number of passengers at the airport, the operating company DIAL is preparing for the future. DIAL has decided to run an air train to connect the 3 terminals.

The air train will have a total of 4 stops. It will stop at Terminal-1, Terminal-2-3, Aerocity and Cargo City. This air train, which will run a total of 7.7 km, will be very convenient for the passengers. It will save the time of the passengers.

Dial gave information to the ministry

This will be the first air train to run in the country. A tender has been issued by DIAL for this. The ministry has also been informed. If sources are to be believed, this tender can be given to a company in the end of October or beginning of November. The project price has not been decided yet. A decision will be taken on this after the applications from the companies are received.
