Air travel out of reach of middle class… Arvind Kejriwal’s target on removing capping from fares
Arvind Kejriwal: Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has expressed strong objection to the removal of the limit imposed on domestic air travel fares by the Union Civil Aviation Ministry. He has expressed the possibility of increase in the cost of air travel due to the removal of the fixed limit. Arvind Kejriwal warned that this step of the Central Government may make air travel out of reach for the middle class. After this decision, which is coming into effect from March 23, there is a possibility of a huge increase in air fares.
Kejriwal’s question on removing the border
Arvind Kejriwal said on Twitter that air travel fares are becoming beyond the reach of the middle class. Modi government is removing the cap on air fares. This decision could lead to a huge surge in ticket prices, he said, adding that instead of removing the cap on air fares, the central government should work on controlling air fares more effectively. Air travel is no longer a luxury, but has become a necessity for the middle class.
