Aircraft with 238 passengers lands safely in China after distress signal, major accident averted

New Delhi: A flight operated by a Russian airline, traveling from Thailand to Russia, made an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction. The airline averted a potential disaster by making an unscheduled landing in China. There were 238 people on board the aircraft during the landing. Fortunately, no passengers or crew members were injured, although the incident caused a moment of anxiety.

After disembarking, everyone praised and thanked the pilot for his skill. This incident follows other recent cases of emergency landings due to sudden technical problems on aircraft.

On Friday, Azur Air flight ZF-2998 was flying from Phuket, Thailand, to Barnaul, Russia, when the pilot received an indication of a technical malfunction in mid-air. The flight then made an emergency landing at Lanzhou Airport in China. There were 238 passengers on board.

According to FlightRadar, the technical malfunction signal was received at an altitude of 6kilometres. The flight was en route to Russia at approximately 1 PM. The aircraft circled in a holding pattern over the western part of Lanzhou Airport for about 45 minutes before landing.
