Airspace closed due to Israel-Iran attack: Delhi-Tel Aviv flight sent towards Mumbai, Air India gave information
Delhi. Due to the closure of Air India, Air India on Saturday diverted its flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv towards Mumbai. Some airfields have been closed to flight operations following Israel’s attacks on Iran.
Air India said in a statement, “AFlight AI139, operated from Delhi to Tel Aviv on February 22, is returning to India due to the closure of Israel’s airspace and in view of the safety of passengers and crew.An airline official confirmed that the plane has been diverted to Mumbai.
Air India said, “We are constantly assessing the safety and security conditions surrounding our flight operations and will make operational changes as necessary।”
The airline also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to this unexpected situation. Meanwhile, IndiGo said it is closely monitoring the developments related to Iran and its airspace.
The airline said in a post on ‘X’, “Our teams are ready to make necessary adjustments as the situation changes.” It appealed to passengers to check their flight status before departure.
Flight information website ‘Flightradar24.com’ said on ‘X’ that the closure of airfields is affecting many flights and aviation companies.
