Vietnam Airlines is adjusting flight routes to and from Taiwan and Northeast Asia between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 30 due to temporary airspace restrictions, which may add up to 15–30 minutes to travel time.
The airline says the change is a safety measure following notifications from authorities about limited airspace over Taiwan on the same day.
The rerouted flights may take an extra 15–30 minutes, and some services could face weight limits, including reduced checked baggage or fewer passengers, as aircraft will carry more fuel to handle longer travel time.
Vietnam Airlines will continue coordinating with authorities and updating passengers as the situation develops.
Travelers flying to or through Taiwan and Northeast Asia are advised to monitor flight information regularly.
