Airtel discontinued these two prepaid plans without any formal announcement

Telecom company Bharti Airtel has stopped recharge of its two popular prepaid data packs of Rs 121 and Rs 181 in India without any formal announcement. Both packs offered high-speed data with a validity of 30 days. Additionally, free access to Airtel’s Extreme Play Premium service was also included.

This subscription provides content from Netflix, Jio Hotstar, SonyLIV and more than 25 OTT platforms at one place. After the removal of these plans, now those customers who used to take these recharges only for additional data will have to choose other options.

Plans removed, website and app updated

The company has updated the list of recharge options on its official website and mobile app, where both these data packs are no longer visible. Earlier, through these schemes, customers could use the internet for 30 days by taking only data benefits. However, after removing them completely, Airtel has drawn attention towards other packs.

What options are available now?

Airtel’s cheapest available data pack for data-demanding customers is Rs 100. This pack offers 6GB data for 30 days and also gives access to 20 other OTT apps including SonyLIV under Airtel Extreme Play subscription.

For users who want more data, the company offers a recharge option of Rs 161, in which 12GB data is available. Similarly, a special pack of Rs 195 is also available from Airtel, which the company has named ‘Best Cricket Pack’. In this, free subscription of JioHotstar mobile for one month with 12GB data has been added. Customers also additionally get Extreme Play subscription.

The company’s last 30-day pack for users who want the most data is priced at Rs 361. It provides 50GB data. According to the company, after exceeding the prescribed limit, users will be charged 50 paise per MB.
