80:20 revenue sharing model, Airtel will charge Rs 0.11 per message
Under the new agreement between Google and Airtel, 80:20 revenue sharing model has been fixed. According to industry reports, Airtel will charge Rs 0.11 for each RCS message. Earlier Airtel had flatly refused to partner with Google and Apple for RCS. The company also raised concerns about spam and encrypted messaging. Now Google has agreed to integrate RCS with Airtel’s intelligent spam filters, making this partnership possible.
