Major disruptions in the network affected users across the country – Obnews

Many Airtel users complained about problems in broadband and mobile services on social media on Thursday. Due to this disruption, users were unable to access the internet or make calls. This was highlighted through hundreds of complaints on outage detection platform downdetector.in. Both mobile and broadband users were affected due to Airtel network outage. Due to this interruption they could not make calls nor use the internet.

According to DownDetector, a website that tracks outages, network problems started increasing around 10:30 am. Airtel's mobile and broadband services were most affected due to the outage.

Data from the platform shows that 46 per cent of users faced complete blackouts, 32 per cent had no signal and 22 per cent had mobile connectivity issues. DownDetector's outage map shows that cities like New Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nagpur and Mumbai were most affected.

Airtel has not yet issued any official statement regarding the outage.
