300GB limit in Airtel’s Rs 399 prepaid plan
Apart from hotspot restrictions, users have also experienced that Airtel plans, which are promoted in the name of unlimited 5G, also have a hidden limit. Recently on social media platform X, a user named Karan Shroff shared an email from Airtel customer support regarding 5G data usage on Rs 399 prepaid plan.
According to the email, the Rs 399 plan offers unlimited 4G + 5G data. However, it states that the data usage is limited to 300 GB within 30 days, as usage beyond that limit will be considered as commercial usage. Due to this email, users have now raised many questions. Because according to many users when a plan is sold as unlimited, there should be no limit.

Your own email confirms the ₹399 “Unlimited 4G+5G Data” plan is capped at 300GB/30 days. If there’s a cap, why advertise it as “Unlimited””

Many questions are now being raised on these terms and conditions of Airtel. Users have also expressed their anger. A user has raised the question that if unlimited 5G cannot be shared through mobile hotspots, how can this data be unlimited. A user said that they depend on hotspot connectivity for work. Because their laptops do not have sim card support. People say that turning off the hotspot reduces the usage of the unlimited data plan.
