Ajay Devgan completes 33 years in the industry, remembers his memorable entry in his first film
Mumbai Mumbai: Bollywood star Ajay Devgan completed 33 years as an actor on Friday. His debut film 'Phool Aur Kaante' celebrated its 33rd anniversary today, and he couldn't be more grateful. Ajay wrote a note full of old memories on Instagram. He wrote, “From entering Phool Aur Kaante (my favorite but scary) to what I stand for today, this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. For every clap, cheer and love filled moments, thank you always # 33Years.” She also shared a picture of a showpiece, which depicts her iconic entry scene from the film 'Phool Aur Kaante'.
'Phool Aur Kaante', released in 1991, also starred Madhu, Aruna Irani, Jagdeep and Amrish Puri. It was directed by Kuku Kohli. Ajay has since carved a special niche for himself as an actor as well as a director. Recently he was seen in Rohit Shetty directed 'Singham Again', which is performing well at the box office. In this film, he reprized the role of police officer Bajirao Singham, which he first played in the first part in 2011 and again in 2014 in the second installment of the 'Singham' franchise. In a candid chat with ANI, Ajay expressed his gratitude to the audience and also talked about how the 'Singham' franchise changed the narrative around the portrayal of police in Bollywood films. Ajay stressed, “I am grateful to the audience for showering so much love. For a long time, police have always been shown in a negative light in films. Singham Aur Gangajal was one of the first films that showed what an ideal police officer How it should be. After that, it became a trend to make positive films about the police.”
