Addressing the buzz for the first time, Akshay Kumar has cleared the air regarding his role in the film and his equation with franchise veteran Ajay Devgn.

“Mera Role Badhiya Hai”: Akshay on His Screen Time Speaking in a recent interview, Akshay Kumar dismissed any notions of professional insecurity about joining a franchise where Ajay Devgn has been the face for nearly two decades. “I’m happy that they think I was good enough to be a part of Golmaal,” the actor stated. He went on to clarify, “Ajay is the main hero. I’m not playing the main part, but what’s wrong with it? I look at a film as a film and never think about what I am doing in it specifically.”

The Bald Look and Villainous Turn Fans were left stunned after the announcement video featured Akshay in a striking bald lookdonning a black kurta-pyjama and dark sunglasses. While the Golmaal series is known for slapstick humor, reports suggest that Akshay might be stepping into a dynamic, slightly antagonistic role—a “Tom & Jerry” style rivalry with Ajay Devgn that promises to bring the house down.

A Historic Reunion Golmaal 5 marks a significant reunion for the two superstars after their appearance in Singham Again (2024). This will be their first full-fledged outing in a pure comedy setup since their early collaborations in films like Khakee and Suhaag.
