Akanda 2 Destroy neighboring countries with a trident; Users said- don’t look for too much logic
As soon as Boyapati Srinu’s film starts, the director himself comes on the screen and shouts ‘Ready Babu… Start Camera… Action!’. With just this one line you immediately understand two things. You will have to leave your mind at home and come to this theatre. Newton uncle, Einstein uncle and the entire physics book have been deposited outside at the gate. Boyapati is clearly telling brother, this film is not going to be driven by logic, logic or reality, but only by masala, magnificence and his own bold confidence and this time in ‘Akhanda 2: Thandavam’ this confidence is touching the sky. Nandamuri Balakrishna is once again a hero, God and superhero all three together.
The story is very simple, a neighboring country (whose name has not been taken, but everyone knows who) hatches a conspiracy to destroy India. The plan is to destroy the entire country by releasing a dangerous virus in the Maha Kumbh Mela. An attempt to break the soul of India by attacking Sanatan Dharma. DRDO has to make the vaccine as soon as possible. This responsibility suddenly falls into the hands of Janani, a 16-year-old super-genius girl. Her IQ is 266. She makes the vaccine overnight, but now she has become the enemy’s number-1 target.

Funny action made everyone laugh
Now comes the turn of our Akhanda Akka Balkrishna. He reincarnates again to save his niece Janani, stop the virus and defeat his enemies. What happens next isn’t just action…it’s a whole storm! Stopping a helicopter with a trident, killing 50 people with one punch, turning guns into flower garlands, everything is possible. The special thing is that this time Akhanda’s entry happens as soon as the film starts. Usually Boyapati brings the hero in his films around the interval, but this time you get the license to shout ‘Jai Balaiya’ in the first 20 minutes itself.
speech to change the fate of the country
Boyapati’s films have their own fun. Every dialogue seems as if he is giving it in a pre-release event. Even a common conversation seemed as if it was a speech that could change the fate of the country. Temple bells, tilak, saree-jewellery, festivals, culture, everything is included in full. If you don’t laugh even a little bit of comedy, it comes automatically just by watching the action. The gunmen come to kill the hero with their guns, but get tired of firing and the hero does not even get scratched. While chasing on the ice, the shooters should compete with each other to see who will miss in the most creative way today.
Basic rule of cinema
There are many big things in the film like protection of Sanatan Dharma, patriotism, taunt on the neighboring country, danger of biological warfare… but all these are just for show. Actually, the film is made only to showcase the magic of Balakrishna. Prime Minister, Army, RAW, Police all bowed before Akhanda. One man fighting the entire army with a trident is the basic rule of Boyapati cinema.
What are the shortcomings in the story?
Many characters are useless. The villain’s plan of roaming around carrying the vaccine in a small purse is so stupid that it makes one laugh, it is very similar to the first Akhanda, but it does not have the same power. Still…Balkrishna is in full enthusiasm. It is fun to watch his dialogue delivery, body language and confidence. Harshali Malhotra (Janani) did well. Samyukta got less time, still tried. Adi Pinisetty likes it that he speaks less but leaves an impact. Technically the film is fine. Songs were forgettable, background music was loud, cinematography was average, editing could have been better.
What was the reaction of the users?
One user wrote, ‘#Akhanda2 – Balayya as a superhero, screen presence is fine. No scope for another Balaiya. Half the role was wasted. Tired story, bad villain. Loud music and emotionless action scenes. Balayya keeps speaking long meaningless dialogues. Except the interval sequence, everything else is nonsense.
Another said, ‘Akhanda 2 is a complete blast!’ Nandamuri Balaiah has acted with full enthusiasm, the background music reaches straight into the veins. Action, thrill, dialogues, everything is at its peak. If you liked the first part, this sequel will rock the theaters again! #Akhanda2′
Another said, ‘Boyapati and Balaiah are doing the same clichéd drama that we have been seeing for decades. Just he has added some supernatural elements to it. Balaiya does the fight scenes as usual, and the background music somehow gets louder. The die-hard fans might still be happy, but for everyone else it’s unbearable.
