Akasa Air will have more than 200 aircraft by March 2025, the company made this big announcement

Vinay Dubey, head of Akasa Air has said that the company will start delivery of aircraft. But is in continuous discussions with Boeing and is expected to add some more aircraft to its fleet in the current financial year (2024-25) ending March 2025.

Let us tell you that, according to the data, the airline, which came into operation in August 2022, currently has a fleet of 26 Boeing 737 Max aircraft and has ordered 200 aircraft.

Recently, in a special conversation with PTI, Dubey said that this year has been good for the company and the work will continue to make it better in 2025. “Regarding the service excellence we provide, I think consumers see Akasa as a kinder and gentler airline, a little more empathetic,” he said. We will continue this approach with our passengers.” He said the airline will also continue to ensure that its employees feel loved and respected.

This month, some of the company's pilots raised concerns about alleged training and safety issues, and the airline dismissed them as baseless and untrue. The airline has added four aircraft to its fleet this year. When asked if there were any concerns about aircraft delivery, Dubey said Akasa Air had no supply chain issues and the airline had a very good relationship with Boeing.

 

The airline's founder and chief executive officer (CEO) said, “We are in continuous discussions with Boeing for the delivery of the aircraft. “We will continue to work with them on expectations regarding how and when the aircraft will be delivered.” Regarding the expectation of delivery of some more aircraft in the current financial year, Dubey said, “We may get the aircraft.” In January this year, Akasa Air had announced an order for 150 Boeing aircraft, which include 737 Max 10 and 737 Max 8-200 jets.
