Amidst the temple prasad controversy, the All India Akhara Parishad's advice is to distribute these traditional prasads instead of laddus

Dehradun : These days, the news of adulteration in the famous Laddu Prasadam of Tirupati Balaji temple has become a topic of discussion everywhere. After the Tirupati case, news of adulteration in Prasadam has started coming from many other famous temples of the country. After the cases of adulteration in Prasadam came to light, now the highest organization of saints, Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad has also given its reaction on this issue. The council has advised that instead of Laddu, traditional Prasadam should be offered in the temples and it should also be distributed among the devotees.

The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad said on Tuesday that instead of laddus etc., cardamom seeds, sugar candy and dry fruits, which are traditionally offered as bhog, should be distributed among the devotees in temples across the country. Council President Mahant Ravindra Puri said that only this type of prasad should be distributed in all temples until the government and the management of the temples guarantee the purity of the ghee mixed in the prasad.

Tips to get rid of guilt

He said, “Traditionally, cardamom seeds, sugar candy and dry fruits are offered to Hindu deities. If they are distributed among the devotees, there will be no possibility of adulteration in the prasad.” Expressing displeasure over the adulteration in 'laddu prasadam' at the world famous Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh, Mahant Puri said that this has hurt the sentiments of Hindus all over the world. Along with this, he suggested that Hindus who have unknowingly consumed the adulterated 'laddu prasadam' at the Tirupati Balaji temple can consume Gangajal or cow urine to get rid of their guilt.

What is the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam controversy

Recently, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had claimed that animal fat was used in making laddus for Tirupati during the previous government led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. His allegations had created controversy across the country. However, YSR Congress had claimed that Naidu is making such disgusting allegations for political gain. Amidst these allegations, now a woman from Telangana has also made a new allegation regarding Tirupati Laddu Prasadam and claimed that she has found pieces of tobacco inside the laddu. The woman has also released a video regarding these allegations.
