Akhilesh Yadav and Avimukteshwaranand meet : Uttar Pradesh : Shankaracharya Avimukteswarananda Saraswati has been in the news for the past several days. Avimukteswarananda has been embroiled in controversy after allegations of sexual harassment. Earlier, he bathed in the Ganges and the administration and Uttar Pradesh (UP News) took an aggressive stance against the government. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav (Akhilesh Yadav) has met the controversial Shankaracharya Avimukteswaranand Saraswati. This has sparked debates in political circles.

National President of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav met Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteswaranand Saraswati in capital Lucknow. But the real reason for this visit has not come out yet. What topics were discussed between the two has also not been revealed. Whether this gift was a spiritual gift or a political gift is being debated in hushed voices.

Pictures of the meeting between former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Avimukteswarananda Saraswati have come to light. It was also seen that many political leaders met Shankaracharya in January 2026 during the Magh Mela in Prayagraj after the dispute with the administration and the police. Akhilesh Yadav is said to have met on this issue. Therefore, this visit of Akhilesh Yadav is considered politically important.

Political analysts believe that Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting with Shankaracharya may further heat up the political atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh on this issue. Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav met Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteswaranand Saraswati in Khanau on Thursday (12th). Akhilesh Yadav welcomed the saints present at the door with folded hands. Former MP Anu Tandon was also present with him.

Commencement of Gaurakshan Yatra of Shankaracharya Avimukteswarananda

According to media reports, Shankaracharya Avimukteswarananda started his journey from Varanasi on March 7. The four-day journey passed through Jaunpur, Sultanpur and Sitapur and reached Lucknow on 10 March. After arriving in Lucknow, he started the cow protection campaign on Wednesday. Shankaracharya currently resides in the Krishna Nagar area, where various political and social figures visit him.
