Akhilesh Yadav roared in Musafirkhana: ‘Women’s reservation is just an illusion, corruption increased due to demonetization’; Fiercely targeted at BJP

Amethi. National President of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav strongly attacked the double engine government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Musafirkhana on Monday. While going to Sultanpur on a one-day visit, he stopped on the way and addressed the public and put the government in the dock on burning issues like women’s reservation, inflation, unemployment and law and order.

‘Women’s reservation is just a ploy to divert attention’-
Akhilesh Yadav raised serious questions on the government’s intentions on the issue of women’s reservation. He said that the government does not seem to have any intention of implementing it on the ground.

The SP chief argued that neither delimitation has been done yet nor any clear details of seats have been revealed. Even the census has not been completed.

He alleged that this pretext of women’s reservation has been created only to divert the public’s attention from the real issues. He also described the security situation of women in the state as extremely unsatisfactory.

‘Respect is gained not by symbolic steps, but by giving rights’-
Emphasizing on the protection of the Constitution and rights, Akhilesh Yadav said that the situation in the country and the state is continuously worsening. He sarcastically said that no one gets respect just by taking symbolic steps, but true respect is achieved only by ensuring the real rights of every section of the society.

Attack on demonetization, inflation and unemployment-
Attacking the government on the economic front, the former Chief Minister said that inflation and unemployment in the state have broken the back of the common man. He directly alleged that corruption has increased in the country after ‘demonetisation’.

Apart from this, he also strongly condemned the punitive actions being taken against journalists.

Referring to the ongoing workers’ protest in Noida, he said that the government should immediately pay attention to the legitimate demands of the workers.

Crowd gathered on the streets, shouting for 2027-
Earlier, while going to Sultanpur, Akhilesh Yadav was given a warm welcome in front of Chhaya Public School located at Musafirkhana. SP leader Jaisingh Pratap Yadav was present there with his huge supporters.

Seeing the crowd that had gathered to see their leader, Akhilesh Yadav stopped his convoy and accepted the greetings of the people. He listened to the problems of the local people and assured them of solving them if the SP government is formed. In the end, he energized the party workers and called upon them to become fully active at the organizational level and start working now to bring the Samajwadi Party to power in the 2027 assembly elections.
