Akhilesh Yadav thundered in Prayagraj, ‘Goranda business under the guise of Sanatan will not be tolerated’, cornered UP government on paper leaks and recruitment scams.

digital desk- Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, while visiting Prayagraj, has made the sharpest attack so far on the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh. In a program organized on the occasion of completion of 10 years of UP government, Akhilesh Yadav put the government in the dock regarding law and order, health system, especially the paper leak and theft of Ram temple offerings. He said that socialist people always want to protect Sanatan Dharma, but any kind of ‘cheating’ and corruption under the guise of religion will not be accepted. Referring to the case of theft of offerings in Ayodhya Ram temple, Akhilesh Yadav said that no one had even thought that there would be such a big mess with the temple of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram and the faith of the devotees. Taking a dig at the government, he said, “The Chief Minister, who was making a world record of visiting Ayodhya and was not getting tired, is silent on these scams today.” He alleged that those who earlier used to give the slogan of ‘Nation First’ (Desh First), now their eyes are fixed only on ‘Donation First’ (Donation First).

PDA reservation scam in 22 exams, no response to ‘socialist audit’

Describing Prayagraj as the ‘foundation’ (bastion of students) of the country, Akhilesh Yadav said that the government is violating the Constitution of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in a deliberate and organized manner in the field of education and employment. He said that the ‘PDA Reservation Scam Booklet’ released in Lucknow clearly shows how the rights of backward people, Dalits and minorities have been scammed in 22 government recruitment examinations. Apart from this, BJP is also not able to give any answer on the recently released Samajwadi Audit Booklet-2 titled ‘Gorakhdhandha in Ramnagari’. Taking aim at the continuous paper leaks in UP, the SP chief said that a new model of recruitment has been formed in the state – first the advertisement comes, then the examination, then the paper leaks, the matter goes to the court, students are lathicharged and finally the recruitment is cancelled. Giving examples of dozens of examinations like Inspector, Tubewell Driver, UP-TET, Constable Recruitment, RO-ARO, NEET-PG and Accountant, he said that there are reports of paper leak in Maharashtra too, which is very worrying.

SP government will bring ‘annual recruitment calendar’ and secure examination system when it comes to power

Putting forward his plans in the interest of students, Akhilesh Yadav promised that the youth will be guaranteed justice if the Samajwadi government comes to power. He declared:

  • An annual time bound recruitment calendar will be issued for every department.
  • Candidates will be given special relaxation in age limit.
  • Women and disabled candidates will be allotted examination centers in their home district only.
  • The entire process from paper setting to transportation, strong rooms and examination centers will be monitored through CCTV and digital tracking.
  • The culprits will be given strict punishment through fast track court. If the examination has to be conducted again due to any technical or government mistake, then free transportation and examination arrangements will be made for the students on the basis of admit card.

Deputy CM’s department himself is ill, schools and hospitals all closed

Attacking the health and education system, Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and said that his own health department is seriously ill. Presenting the figures, he said that in the Chief Minister’s home district Gorakhpur, out of 77 Primary Health Centers (PHCs) only 9 are running and many primary schools there have been closed. Same is the situation in Prayagraj also. Expressing grief over the Lucknow fire, he said that if there were adequate arrangements to extinguish the fire in hospitals, then so many children would not have lost their lives due to suffocation due to smoke.
