Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at the BJP government on power cuts, said – ‘This is a conspiracy by the messenger sent by the people of Delhi’

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party government regarding the deepening power crisis in Uttar Pradesh. In fact, he said that in the last ten years, BJP has ruined the electricity department of the state, due to which the people are suffering in the scorching heat. Akhilesh Yadav even said that in the upcoming elections, the public will “wash the BJP thoroughly and dry it forever”.

What did Akhilesh Yadav say?

Actually Akhilesh Yadav did not stop here. Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said that thankfully he did not tell the “conspiracy of the messenger sent by the people of Delhi” behind this “great electrical disaster”. The SP President also raised questions on the relationship between the Chief Minister and the Electricity Minister. He asked whether the Power Minister does not come to the Chief Minister’s review meeting or is he not called. If they come, Akhilesh Yadav requested the Honorable Chief Minister to post a picture of him placing his hand on his shoulder, so that the public can get a respite from their “mutual warmth”, as the public has never “seen these two together in solitude”. The SP chief also accused the BJP government of completely ruining the power system of UP.

Bharatiya Janata Party also retaliated

Bharatiya Janata Party also left no stone unturned in countering these sharp attacks of Akhilesh Yadav. The SP chief was also fiercely targeted from the BJP camp. BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi presented figures comparing the tenure of the SP government with the current BJP government.

Rakesh Tripathi claimed that during the rule of Samajwadi Party, the electricity supply in Uttar Pradesh was only 13 thousand MW, whereas today it has increased to more than 31 thousand MW during peak time. He also mentioned the huge increase in the number of consumers. According to Tripathi, during the SP regime there were 1 crore 81 lakh consumers, which has now increased to more than 3 crore 70 lakh. The BJP spokesperson also said that while during the time of SP, electricity was available only in five VIP districts, now 18 to 20 hours of electricity is being provided in every village.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also been attacking the Samajwadi Party in the past regarding power cuts. Taking a dig at the condition of electricity during the SP government, he had said that during their rule, clothes were dried on electric wires because there was no current in them. The Chief Minister also added that he himself is keeping an eye on the entire matter.

This power crisis, which has deepened amid the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh, has now become a completely political issue. Before the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, the opposition seems to be attacking the BJP government on this issue. Although Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is closely monitoring this entire matter by holding review meetings, the truth is that there are power cuts in the state and the public is troubled.
