Akhilesh Yadav’s direct attack on BJP: Said- ‘The one who washed our house with Ganga water, how will he understand our pain?’

These days the war of words is at its peak in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has once again given vent to old bitterness by laying siege to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing a huge public meeting held in Dadri, Akhilesh Yadav directly targeted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP government. He recalled the famous incident seven years ago, when after he left the Chief Minister’s residence, Ganga water was sprinkled to ‘purify’ it. Akhilesh said in an emotional and aggressive manner that those who did politics of discrimination and got our houses washed with Ganga water can never understand the public and our pain.

In fact, this rally in Dadri emerged as a major center of show of strength for the Samajwadi Party. When Akhilesh Yadav reached the stage, the enthusiasm of the supporters was worth seeing. He started his speech with local issues, but soon he moved to state and central politics. Attacking BJP, he said that times have changed and people have now understood their tactics. Akhilesh warned in clear words that those who are intoxicated with power today will be thrown down from the throne by the public tomorrow.

‘Gangajal’ controversy and fight for honor

In his speech, Akhilesh Yadav mentioned the events of 2017 which he linked to his insult. He said that there can be differences in politics, but the kind of discrimination done by BJP is intolerable. Akhilesh said, “When we vacated the Chief Minister’s residence, it was purified by washing it with Ganga water. It was not just about a house, it was about insulting the son of a backward society. How can you expect justice from people who work with this mentality?”

The SP chief further said that now the times have changed and the alliance of Backwards, Dalits and Minorities (PDA) has become a big challenge for the BJP. He said that BJP should now give up its discriminatory politics and tactics, because now the public is ready to hold them to account. In fact, this statement of Akhilesh is a direct attempt to appeal to those voters who are feeling neglected by the working style of BJP.

Serious allegations regarding Noida Airport

Attacking BJP on its development claims, Akhilesh Yadav made a big claim regarding the international airport being built in Jewar (Noida). He said that the BJP government did not build Noida Airport so that people can fly from there, but its real objective is to sell it to big industrialists. Akhilesh alleged that BJP’s policy is only ‘make and sell’. He sarcastically said that the land and rights of the airport which is being described as a symbol of development will soon be in private hands.

It is being told that this attack of Akhilesh was directly on the privatization agenda of the government. He cautioned the local people and said that the buildings being constructed on farmers’ lands will not benefit the common man but will benefit the capitalists close to the government.

‘Will be removed from the throne’ – warning to the government

In the last part of the speech, Akhilesh Yadav’s style became very strict. Claiming the falling graph of BJP, he said that today only their flags are coming down, but if they do not change their working style, then tomorrow they will also be removed from the throne of power. Akhilesh said that the future does not belong to BJP as they have completely failed in their promise of providing employment to the youth and doubling the income of farmers.

According to local people, this rally of Akhilesh has heated up the election atmosphere in Dadri and surrounding areas. Akhilesh called upon the workers to go from village to village and tell the people the reality of BJP. In the end he said that the politics of discrimination and hatred does not have a long life and Uttar Pradesh is now moving towards change.

Through this rally, Akhilesh Yadav not only showed his strength, but also made it clear that he is going to strongly raise the issue of ‘respect’ and ‘rights’ in the upcoming elections. Now it remains to be seen how BJP responds to these sharp attacks of Akhilesh.
