He further said, ‘At that time I had planned to start a small business in Canada. During this time I got a Canadian passport. But the interesting thing is that the films about which I was tensed, later became hits at the box office. After this, I started getting offers from films again and my career was back on track.

Akshay Kumar told that when his career started taking off again, he left the plan of going to Canada and kept working in Bollywood films. He said that at that time he became so busy with his work that he did not think much about changing the passport. For this reason, he continued to hold a Canadian passport for many years.

Trolled me by calling me ‘Canadian’

He also said, ‘People often trolled me by calling me ‘Canadian’ without complete information. Which felt bad to me. I always worked in India and also paid taxes here. India is most important to me and whatever I have achieved is because of this country. People should not accuse anyone without knowing the whole truth.
