Akshay Kumar’s ‘Haiwaan’ takes out 70% of the budget even before its release, will have a big release in August!

New Delhi. Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Haiwaan has created a buzz even before its release. Sony Network has purchased the digital, satellite, and music rights of the film for Rs 80 crore, securing almost 70 percent of the film’s budget even before its release. This step has provided financial security to the producers and the film is expected to be released theatrically in August 2026.

Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan will play important roles in this film. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Oppam. The story revolves around a judge and his daughter, in which the judge tries to save his daughter from a prisoner in jail. At last a blind man protects him. The original film’s lead actor Mohanlal will also be seen in this Hindi remake.

Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan along with Welcome to the Jungle and an untitled film are in his pipeline, raising hopes of his comeback at the box office.
