Mumbai: An update shared by a Reddit user has offered fresh insight into the ongoing production of Welcome To The Junglethe upcoming Akshay Kumar–starrer that is currently in its final stages of filming. According to the post, the makers have recreated dense forest landscapes within Mumbai to shoot the film’s high-octane climax sequence.

The production team reportedly opted to build elaborate forest sets inside the city after shelving initial plans to shoot in Uttar Pradesh. The decision was taken due to cold weather conditions and logistical challenges, particularly given the scale of the action sequences and the presence of a large ensemble cast.

Climax Shoot Begins Across Multiple Mumbai Locations

As per the Reddit update, director Ahmed Khan began filming the final leg of the movie on December 5. The climax is being shot across multiple well-known locations in Mumbai, including Film City, Royal Palms in Goregaon, Borivali, and Aarey Colony.

“The makers have recreated dense forest landscapes right inside Mumbai for the film’s high-octane climax,” the Reddit post stated, highlighting the scale of the production design involved.

These locations are known for their expansive green zones and have previously been used for outdoor action sequences, making them suitable substitutes for real forest terrains.

Uttar Pradesh Plan Dropped Due to Practical Constraints

The original plan was to shoot the climax portions in Uttar Pradesh. However, the Reddit user noted that the idea was eventually dropped due to “cold weather and logistical challenges,” especially with large-scale action scenes involving multiple actors and extensive crew movement.

Such adjustments are common in big-budget productions, particularly when weather conditions and timelines risk delaying key schedules.

The team is reportedly aiming to complete the climax shoot by early next year, bringing Welcome To The Jungle closer to the finish line. While an official release date has not yet been announced, the update suggests that the film is progressing steadily towards post-production.
