Experience of working with Akshay Khanna

Recently, when Farah Khan was asked in a podcast about her experience of working with Akshay Khanna, many people were shocked to hear her answer. Farah Khan said that even though Akshay Khanna is doing great work today, it was not easy to work with him in the initial phase of his career. He said, “Akshay Khanna is very good in ‘Dhurandhar’, but I worked with him in some films in the 90s and I was traumatized at that time. He was a very different kind of person. He was introverted, but was not always in a good mood on the sets.”

Farah further told that at that time she often tried to avoid working with him. She said, “Whenever I came to know that Akshay Khanna is in a film, I used to say that I do not have dates.”

Akshay Khanna used to get angry on the sets

Farah Khan also told that during that period, Akshay Khanna often became irritable on the sets. He said, “Akshay himself has told that at that time his hair started falling at an early age, due to which he used to be very irritable. Everything changed after ‘Dil Chahta Hai’

According to Farah Khan, she had to work with Akshay Khanna during the film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, because this film was being directed by her cousin Farhan Akhtar and it was her first film. Farah said, “Akshay Khanna had completely changed during ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. He had become very calm and chill. We worked together in many films after that.” He also said that Akshay Khanna is an excellent dancer. Farah said, “In the film song ‘Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe’, he danced better than Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan.”

Met again after ‘Dhurandhar’

Farah Khan also told that recently she met Akshay Khanna after the film ‘Dhurandhar’. She had gone to Alibaug to meet him. He told that Akshay Khanna’s brother Rahul Khanna is his good friend and he is also a part of his games group.
