Pakistan team washed the dishes

Pakistan captain Shakeel Ahmed Butt explained that his team in Australia not only had to roam the streets due to lack of hotel bookings but also washed the dishes before leaving for the match. Shakeel Ahmed Butt said, “Now the water is running over our heads. We cannot continue to play under the current management of the federation.” He also added, “How can we expect good results when the players have to clean the kitchen and wash the dishes before going out to play a match?”

Many problems faced by players

Pakistan team had to face many difficulties in this tour. They also had to wait for 13-14 hours at Sydney airport before boarding the flight to Canberra. After reaching the hotel, he learned that the booking could not be made due to non-payment of advance payment by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. Players and staff roamed the streets for hours. Later, a hotel was arranged with the help of local Pakistanis. The captain added that “The booking through Airbnb was only for 10 days, but the team was supposed to stay there for 13 days. After 10 days, they had to shift their stay to a cheaper and less well-equipped hotel. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Sports Board confirmed that they had given PHF 1 crore for hotel arrangements, but it was not properly utilized by the federation.”

Poor performance by Pakistan
