Tight security arrangements during the budget session in Jharkhand Assembly
Ranchi: Police Headquarters has taken important steps regarding the security of ministers and MLAs during the budget session of Jharkhand Assembly. The session will run from February 18 to March 19, and in view of this, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) and Superintendents of Police (SP) of all the districts have been ordered to strengthen security and increase patrolling. Special care is being taken to ensure that no untoward incident occurs.
Ministers and MLAs will gather in Ranchi
Police Headquarters has informed that ministers and MLAs from various districts will reach Ranchi on 17 and 18 February. During the session period, preparations have been made to further increase security keeping in mind the possibility of travel to their constituencies. In view of recent militant incidents, it is feared that Maoist organizations may target public representatives.
Identification of sensitive routes and valley areas
Police Headquarters has declared a total of 24 major roads and valley areas of Jharkhand state as extremely sensitive. Instructions have been given to exercise special caution on these routes. The point is to make preparations to prevent any untoward incident by increasing police patrolling and surveillance.
Implementation of safety instructions
The security instructions call for advance checking of routes, regular patrolling, and deployment of additional forces at necessary places to ensure security during the journey of convoys of ministers and MLAs. It will be ensured that special monitoring, vehicle checking and deployment of patrolling teams is done on all sensitive routes.

- Ranchi–Bundu–Tamar route: Taimara Valley
- Ranchi–Hazaribagh–Koderma route: Chutupalu, Charhi, National Park and Tilaiya Valley
- Hazaribagh–Giridih route: Tati Jharia, Vishnugarh and Giridih Valley
- Ranchi–Simdega–Gumla route: Kolebira forest area
- Khunti-Chaibasa Road: Bandgaon Forest and Valley
- Ranchi-Latehar-Palamu route: Amjharia, Tudamu and Manika Valley.
- Hazaribagh–Chatra route: Simaria and Chatra forest valley
- Palamu area: Wild areas of Daltonganj–Chhattarpur–Hariharganj road.
- Netarhat Route: Betla, Mahuadod and Garu Valley
- Chatra-Katkamasandi route
- Chauparan-Barhi-Bagodar route
- Chanho-Khalari Marg
- Seraikela-Kharsawan-Kuchai road and Kandra-Chauka road
Police Headquarters has made it clear that during the budget session of the Assembly, special security measures will be taken on all sensitive routes, so that it is possible to maintain peace and law and order.
