A day after the trailer of Alpha was released, Indian actress Alia Bhatt spoke about her experience working with Bobby Deol and praised his approach to acting.
Speaking at the event, Alia shared that she enjoyed working with Bobby during the film. She described him as a “gentle giant” and spoke about his personality on set.
“I call him a gentle giant because he is a giant but has the most gentle soul,” Alia said.
The Highway actress recalled filming scenes with him and said he often surprised everyone with his performances.
“What I love about him is that he brings something brilliant spontaneously. He doesn’t even know what he’s done,” she said.
Alia added that directors often appreciated Bobby’s work after a scene, while he remained unaware of the impact of his performance.
“The director will come and say, ‘Bobby sir, what a shot.’ And Bobby Sir’s reaction will be, ‘Really? I don’t know what I did. Should I do it again?’” she said.
The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress also said she admired his dedication to learning despite spending many years in the film industry.
“I had the best time working with him because he’s like a little student in this school of cinema, even today, after so many years,” Alia said.
She further praised his recent performances and said audiences had been enjoying his work in recent projects.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Alpha was released earlier this week and featured Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol, Sharvari and Anil Kapoor. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail and is part of the YRF Spy Universe.
The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 3, 2026.
