Alia Bhatt exuded elegance in her vibrant pink lehenga that she wore for her intimate wedding ceremony with Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022. Alia Bhatt’s sustainable fashion game sets inspiration. Repurposing bridal wear is never easy. Often the heavy lehengas, sarees and the entire couture becomes a one or two time thing. But here is how one can restyle it in many ways. Alia Bhatt is synonymous to the minimal aesthetic game. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had organized a private wedding ceremony at Ranbir Kapoor’s Mumbai apartment. And when the images surfaced, we could not stop but gush over the minimal bride who oozed grace and elegance.

For her mehendi ceremony, she wore a custom Manish Malhotra pink lehenga. It was specially curated with 108 textile patches that range from block prints to intricately embroidered swathes of fabric. It is inclusive of Banarasi brocades, jacquard, bandhani, Kachha Resham knots and some scraps from Bhatt’s earlier outfits along with detailing from the couturier’s own archives. The lehenga has elements symbolic to her journey, her special moments all weaved in Kashmiri and Chikankari threads. Reportedly, the exquisite lehenga is a hardwork of intricate craftsmanship and passionate 3000 hour intricate handwork of Mijwan women.

Her pink blouse design is one to keep and worth all the inspiration. It is ornately embellished in real gold and silver nakshi and kora flowers along with vintage gold metal sequins from Kutchh. All in all, this vibrant piece has now become a heirloom for keepsakes.

For Manish Malhotra’s Diwali bash, the national award recipient restyled her lehenga with magnificent polki chandbalis. With blush pink minimal makeup palette, she sported her look with chic hair bun and polki kadhas in one hand. And that’s how you accentuate the festive vibe!

However, this is not the first time we have spotted Alia restyling her dresses. She draped her custom Sabyasachi ivory wedding saree when she was awarded the National Award for best actress.

Bhatt arrived for the party with her sister Shaheen Bhatt. The Diwali party was a star studded affair – Ananya Panday, Sobhita Dhulipala, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Kajol, Kiara Advani -Sidharth Malhotra, Kriti Sanon amongst others.
