Mumbai Mumbai. Alia Bhatt, Jr NTR and Karan Johar recently came together for a power-packed panel discussion titled Devra Ka Jigra. During the discussion, the Student of the Year actress spoke about her relationship with Jr NTR and how she felt she might be 'intimidated' by him.
Alia, who shares screen space with Jr NTR in RRR, said, “I had heard a lot about Tarak's stardom and his personality, so I naturally expected to be intimidated. I was thinking, 'Okay, I'll go to the set and forget all my lines; I've been rehearsing for a year.' Contrary to what I thought, they weren't intimidating at all. In fact, they were really helpful. I was very nervous, but they made me feel comfortable. When I was confused or not sure, they could naturally correct me. The best thing I like about them as an actor is that they are unpredictable.”
Further, the actress recalled discussing the baby's name with Jr NTR at his residence. She revealed that she had invited Ranbir Kapoor to her house for dinner during the press meet of Brahmastra in Hyderabad. “I remember that was the first time we discussed potential baby names in front of everyone. Ranbir and I were like, 'If it's a girl, it'll be this, if it's a boy, it'll be this'. That was the first time we actually discussed potential baby names in front of everyone,” she said. Then, Jr NTR added, “I started praying, wishing it would be Raha. And finally, she came.”
Jr NTR praised Alia and said that he has always been a fan of her work. Calling her one of the finest actors, he said that they share a 'wonderful' bond today. “I can't imagine any other friend in Bombay other than Alia, and of course, after that came Ranbir. So it wasn't Ranbir and I who were friends but it was me and Alia; after that came she,” the actor concluded.
