All out on lowest score against Bangladesh
Mirpur, 11 March 2026: The first ODI match has become a shameful memory for the Pakistani team that toured Bangladesh. In the first match of the series played in Mirpur, the Pakistani batting line-up was spread like a palace of cards against the batting of Bangladeshi bowlers. The entire team went to the pavilion after scoring 114 runs in just 30.4 overs, which is Pakistan’s lowest score till date in ODI cricket against Bangladesh. Earlier, Pakistan’s minimum score against Bangladesh was 161 runs, which it had recorded in the year 1999. By being all out for 114 runs in this match, Pakistan has broken its 27 years old record.
Pakistan had given a chance to four new young players to debut in this match, but all of them were unsuccessful. Sahibzada Farhan could score only 27 runs in the opening. Whereas Maj Sadaqat could contribute only 18 runs as the second opener. Shamil Hussain, who came to play at number 3 in place of Pakistan’s star cricketer Ganaata Babar Azam, was out after scoring only 4 runs. Abdul Samad, who came in the middle order, could not even open the account despite playing 6 balls.
Young fast bowler Nahid Rana was the most successful bowler from Bangladesh. He dismissed all three top order debutants of Pakistan and broke the back of Pakistan by taking a total of 5 wickets. Supporting him, Mehdi Hassan also took 3 wickets. Not a single major participation was seen from Pakistan. The biggest partnership for the opening wicket was only 41 runs. After that, there was a partnership of 32 runs for the last wicket (10th), due to which the score could cross 100.
