All preparations for tenth convocation ceremony complete, grand event organized today

All preparations have been completed for the tenth convocation ceremony to be held on 29 June 2026 at Siddharth University, Kapilvastu, Siddharthnagar. Today, a meeting of the Academic Council and the Executive Council was held in the university, after which the final rehearsal of the entire program was completed.
On this occasion Vice Chancellor Prof. Kavita Shah, Registrar Dr. Ashwani Kumar, members of the Executive Council and Vidya Parishad rehearsed the preparations for the convocation along with Vidwat Pariyatra.
This year, two new members nominated by Jan Bhavan in the Executive Council of the University, Justice Anil Kumar, former judge of Allahabad High Court and Dr. Manju Mishra, Principal of Bapu Mahavidyalaya, PPganj, Gorakhpur, will also attend the function. 19 Executive Council members and 51 Academic Council members will participate in the convocation ceremony.
The tenth convocation will be presided over by Chancellor of State Universities and Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel. Environmentalist Dr. Madhulika Aggarwal will be present at the ceremony as the chief guest and Rajni Tiwari, Minister of State for Higher Education, Uttar Pradesh, will be present as the special guest. The Governor is proposed to visit Siddharth University on Sunday evening and a cultural program will be organized in his honor in the Arts Faculty auditorium of the university.
Tomorrow the convocation ceremony will begin at 10:00 am with the presentation of Vande Mataram and the national anthem and will conclude with the national anthem and the return of the Vidwat Pariyatra.
The main attraction of the convocation ceremony this year will be the students receiving gold medals. A total of 37 gold medals, including 13 donor gold medals, will be awarded by the university. Especially there are 13 such students who are getting two or more gold medals.
At the ceremony, Ph.D. The scholars who get the degree will be awarded the degree. Also, four teachers from the university and affiliated colleges who have made excellent contributions in the field of education will be honored. Inauguration of eight books written by the teachers of the university, screening of a short film based on the highlights of the Diksha Utsav program, inauguration of the newly constructed children’s home ‘Kilkari’ and the digitalized library with facilities for disabled people will also be the major attractions of the program.
Cultural presentations on environment and water conservation will be given by the children of the adopted villages and the winners of various competitions will be awarded. Apart from this, a program of distribution of kits to Anganwadi workers will also be organized.
On this occasion Vice Chancellor Prof. Kavita Shah said that the tenth convocation ceremony is not just an occasion for distribution of degrees, but a celebration of the achievements of the students, the university’s commitment towards the society and the bright future of the new generation. Siddharth University is continuously moving towards new heights with the integration of education, research, innovation and social responsibility. This convocation will become a proud symbol of the collective efforts of our students, teachers and the entire university family.
