A series of 5 test matches is being played between India and Australia. India won the first test match of this series. Now the Indian team has started preparing for the second match. It was believed that fast bowler Mohammed Shami was also going to be seen in Australia along with captain Rohit Sharma in the second test. But now BCCI has made it clear that Shami will play only in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for now. The board did this because the team's fast bowlers are performing well against Australia.
Shami got a chance to work on fitness
Meanwhile, Shami will also get a chance to work well on his fitness. Let us tell you that Shami has been a part of three Border-Gavaskar series in Australia (2014-15, 2018-19 and 2020-21). Shami played 8 matches and took 31 wickets. In Shami's absence, Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj have performed brilliantly in the Perth Test against Australia.
