News India Live, Digital Desk: Government of India has taken another big step towards Digital India. UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) app A new and very useful feature in ‘Mera Ration’ have added. With the launch of this facility, now about 80 crore beneficiaries of the country will not have to visit government offices or ration dealers for information related to ration.
According to the latest report of March 11, 2026, this feature will make the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ (ONORC) scheme more accessible, especially for migrant workers.
5 key features of ‘Mera Ration’ feature
Ration Entitlement: Users can see how much wheat, rice or other grains they are entitled to get under the quota.
Nearest Ration Shop (Nearby FPS): Through the app, you can easily find the location of government ration shops (Fair Price Shops) near you.
Transaction History: last 6 months Complete details of when and how much ration you have taken will be available on the History app.
Transparency and SMS Alerts: After biometric verification, a confirmation message will come on your phone as soon as you receive the ration, which will prevent ration theft or black marketing.
Aadhaar Seeding Status: You can also check which of your family members’ Aadhar cards are linked to the ration card.
How to use ‘Mera Ration’ on UMANG App? (Step-by-Step Guide)
If you want to take advantage of this new service, follow these steps:
step 1: From Google Play Store or Apple App Store UMANG App Download.
Step 2: Register using your mobile number and OTP and enter the 4 digit code. MPIN Set up.
Step 3: In the ‘Search bar’ at the top of the app’s home page “My Ration” Search by typing.
Step 4: Now open the ‘Mera Ration’ section under ‘Department of Food & Public Distribution’.
Step 5: own Ration Card Number Or aadhaar number Enter. After this, complete information about your card will appear on the screen.
