Delhi: A case of fraud has been registered against three family members of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in Bengaluru. Union Minister's brother Gopal Joshi has been accused by a woman of cheating in the name of giving her BJP ticket during the Lok Sabha elections.
A woman named Sunita Chauhan has filed a case against Union Minister Prahlad Joshi's brother Gopal Joshi, sister Vijayalakshmi Joshi and nephew Ajay Joshi at Basaveshwaranagar police station in Bengaluru. Complainant Sunita Chauhan is the wife of JDS MLA Devnand Chauhan. He alleged that Gopal Joshi had promised him a BJP ticket from Bijpur constituency and Rs 25 lakh was given for it.

It was revealed in the FIR that Gopal Joshi had earlier demanded Rs 5 crore for the ticket. When Sunita Chauhan pressured Gopal Joshi to return her money, she faced threats of attack and caste-based abuse. On October 17, an FIR was registered against the family members of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and the police has started investigating the matter. However, till now Gopal Joshi, his sister and son have not reacted to these allegations. This case is in the headlines due to the involvement of the family members of the Union Minister.
